Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager – Billing is responsible for overseeing and managing the billing operations of the organization to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant billing processes. This role involves supervising billing staff, coordinating with multiple departments, resolving billing discrepancies, analyzing revenue cycles, and supporting senior management in optimizing billing efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and guide the billing team to ensure accurate and timely claims and invoicing
- Oversee end-to-end billing processes, including patient invoicing, insurance submissions, and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and internal policies
- Monitor receivables, follow up on payments, and optimize cash flow
- Prepare regular billing reports and conduct data analysis to identify improvements
- Perform audits to minimize errors and maintain data integrity
- Liaise between billing, AR, and client teams
Skills & Qualifications:
- 4–6 years’ experience in medical billing/RCM, with 1–2 years in a supervisory or AM role
- Strong knowledge of insurance claim processes, coding, and billing software
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proven leadership with team management experience
