PRG Pakistan is looking to hire a suitable candidate for the vacant position of Assistant Medical Coder, for our office in Gujranwala. The ideal individual would be a great team player, with an eye for detail in the documentation and all related tasks. This is an entry level position, open for the residents of Gujranwala only. Job Requirements:
- Bachelors in any relevant field, preferably Medical background
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
- Should have strong English speaking, writing and listening skills
- Must be team player and a detail oriented individual
Job Description:
- Extracting relevant information from patient records
- Examining documents for missing information
- Assigning CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, and ASA codes
- Assigning APC and DRG codes
- Ensuring documents are grammatically correct and free from typing errors
- Performing chart audits
- Advising and training physicians and staff on medical coding when required
- Informing supervisor of issues with equipment and computer program
- Ensuring compliance with medical coding policies and guidelines
