Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive Medical Billing Specialists to join our Rawalpindi office. In this role, you will manage insurance verifications, process claims, handle follow-ups with insurance providers and patients, and resolve discrepancies. A solid understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and multi-specialty billing is required. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and attention to detail, ensuring timely and accurate billing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate insurance coverage verification and benefit validation before treatments.
- Oversee claim preparation, review, and submission, including secondary and tertiary insurance handling.
- Review and post insurance payments, ensuring contract compliance and accuracy in financial records.
- Monitor patient billing for correctness, follow up on discrepancies, and generate statements for outstanding balances.
- Ensure timely acquisition of referrals and prior authorizations to avoid billing issues.
- Investigate denied claims, resolve disputes, and handle appeals to maximize reimbursements.
- Track and follow up on unpaid claims and outstanding balances for both patients and insurers.
- Maintain fee schedules and ensure compliance with insurance contracts and regulatory requirements.
- Manage cash transactions, update financial records, and generate collection and reconciliation reports.
- Guide and train junior billing staff, ensuring adherence to billing protocols and best practices.
- Professionally handle patient and insurance inquiries, providing clear resolutions and support.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in any relevant field.
- 6 months to 3 years of experience in Medical Billing/Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Experience working with multiple specialties in medical billing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Hands-on experience with appeals, follow-ups, insurance calls, and patient calls.
- Strong understanding of USA health insurance guidelines, especially Medicare and state Medicaid.
