Job Summary:
The Project Manager – IT is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing IT projects within scope, budget, and schedule. This role requires collaboration across multiple departments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and delivering high-quality outcomes. The ideal candidate is adept at managing technical teams, handling multiple priorities, and utilizing project management methodologies effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate and manage for project resources and manage the day-to-day operations of IT projects.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and progress/ status reports.
- Facilitate effective communication between technical teams and business stakeholders.
Team Management:
- Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment on project goals and responsibilities.
- Foster collaboration and resolve conflicts to maintain team productivity.
- Monitor team performance and address any roadblocks promptly.
Risk and Issue Management:
- Identify potential risks with prior planning and develop mitigation strategies.
- Address and resolve project issues, escalating when necessary.
- Monitor project compliance with organizational standards and IT governance policies.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
- Generate status reports and dashboards for stakeholders and senior management.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Manage project budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
- Track expenditures and justify budget variances when necessary.
Technology Implementation:
- Oversee the implementation of IT systems, software, and infrastructure projects.
- Ensure that solutions meet business needs and technical requirements.
- Support testing, training, and deployment activities.
Adherence to Methodologies:
- Apply project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall based on project requirements.
- Advocate for best practices in project management within the IT team.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business
Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience in IT project management or a similar role preferably in Medical Billing, IT or technology-driven environment.
- Proven track record of successfully managing IT projects from initiation to completion.
- Experience with cloud technologies, software development, or IT infrastructure projects is a plus.
Certifications (Preferred):
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- PRINCE2
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
- ITIL Foundation
Skills:
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, Trello, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
